 EETT Competitive Grant Program Annual Performance Report Online Form
NYSED EETT Competitive Grant Program Online Form for Annual Performance Report has been just made available here.  Please submit your report by using this online form and make sure that you save a copy of the file upon your submission. (http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/technology/eettapr05.htm).

  NCLB/Title II Part D Allocation Funds are posted online.
Title II D 2004-05 allocations for New York State school districts and charter schools are available online. The allocations are determined by the State Education Department based on requirements set forth in the NCLB legislation.  

  3-Year Grant Awards for NCLB/Title II D: Enhancing Education Through Technology:  The New York State Education Department has announced the three-year grant awards for the Title II, Part D, NCLB, Enhancing Education Through Technology competitive grant program.   A total of $50 million in the first full year of funding has been awarded to 46 local educational agencies across New York State under this federal grant program, which targets students in high need school districts that have been identified as schools in need of improvement. These dollars will support improved student achievement in mathematics (Pre K – 12) and/or English language arts (Pre K- 12) with a particular focus on early literacy, Pre K – 3, through the effective integration of education technologies into curriculum and instructional practices.  List of Awardees

  2003-2004 LTG Grant Awards Are Granted.
The New York State Education Department announced more than $3 million in funding has been awarded to 66 local educational agencies across New York under the State's Learning Technology Grant Program. This competitive grant program is designed to improve student achievement of NYS learning standards through integration of education technology into classroom practice.   The PowerPoint Presentation on NCLB Title II D (Enhancing Education Through Technology) Formula Funds Application (EETT Program Guidelines, Requirement, and Resources)

  The Final Year (Year 5) Performance Report for the New York State TLCF Program has been released. The results achieved through the program are quite encouraging and provide a substantial foundation for the continued roll out of the new technology initiative in NCLB-Title II D, Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) for in-depth technology integration into curriculum and instruction. 

Seven Web Content Development Grant Winners for New York State Virtual Learning Space (NYSVLS) have been selected for New York State Virtual Learning Space (NYSVLS) have been selected to help further develop the web content for the New York State Virtual Learning Space.  The seven were chosen based on the the quality, significance, and value criteria.

National Leadership Institute Toolkit: States Helping States Implementing NCLB has been just released by the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA).  The toolkit will help states and schools with step-by-step guides, checklists, definitions, answers to frequently asked questions, and other practical resources for implementing the technology provisions of NCLB Title II D - Enhancing Education through Technology (EETT).   http://www.setda.org/nli2002/CD/about.htm

  The major findings of  the New York State Teachers' Use of Technology has been highlighted in Magi Education Services recent study report for New York State Education Department.  The full report with a focus on the impact of educational technology, such as student/teacher access to technology, professional development, changes in teaching and learning, and barriers to more efficient use is also available here (in PDF format).

  The Office of Technology Policy has recently issued a report with the Highlights of the Year Four Performance Report, with data and graphs showing the growth of various technology indicators in New York State, and how they relate to the NYS Learning Standards (slideshow).

No Child Left Behind Title II Part D Enhancing Education Through Technology -encourages schools to use technology as a tool to improve academic achievement, and believes technology in the classroom should not be an end unto itself. The new law consolidates technology programs into a performance-based technology grant program that sends more money to schools. For additional information go to: EETT Information.

Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) -Attached is a copy of Order FCC 02-196 which was recently released. This order discusses the interim measures adopted by the FCC to ensure that the FCC's implementation of CIPA complies with the recent decision issued by a Three judge panel in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
