Summer School Driver Education Programs

Application for approval of Summer Driver and Traffic Safety Education must be postmarked on or before June 1, 2009.

Note: Summer School approval is separate from the regular three-year approval cycle. All schools offering a Summer School driver education course must file an annual application form postmarked on or before June 1, 2009.

Certification of Intent to Conduct Summer School

As of March 2007 the State Education Department no longer requires submission of “Certification of Intent to Conduct Summer School” or the “Summer School Enrollment Summary Report” to operate a summer school program.

Driver and Traffic Safety Education Student Reciprocity

Effective September 1, 2005, the New York State Education Department will no longer process applications for MV-285.1 Request for Approval of Out-of-State Secondary School Driver Education Course or issue the MV-285 Student Certification of Completion.
