Overview:
An External Review Team must convene to review, address and approve the Self-Study Report. The External Review Team will forward a recommendation for Board of Education action to the Superintendent of Schools or the District Superintendent, as appropriate, which includes recommendations that address the deficiencies and needs identified in the Self-Study Report.
Criteria:
- Membership on the External Review Team will vary according to the type of program
under consideration for approval and other needs of the school district/BOCES.
- Membership shall include local, State and/or regional experts composed of, but not limited to;
ü Educators
ü Labor
ü Business and industry
ü Community representatives
ü Representative member(s) of component Boards of Education of the applicant Board of Cooperative Educational Services (applies only to BOCES applicants)
Additional members may include:
ü Representative/advocate for students with disabilities
ü Parents
ü Workforce Investment Board Member/Youth Council(s)
ü Members of the Self-Study Team as appropriate
ü Postsecondary representative(s)
ü School District Board of Education representative(s)
ü Others
Documentation:
