The New York State Center for School Leadership is funded by a Wallace Foundation grant to support school leadership
initiatives. The work of the NYSCSL focuses on:
helping school districts create an environment where leaders succeed in improving student achievement;
ensuring that colleges and universities provide quality preparation for school leaders; and
expanding the scope and incentives for recruiting, developing, and retaining effective school leaders.
