The list of mutually agreed upon action steps that resulted from the Technology Education Summit (April 30 - May 1, 2008) are now available at: http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/ciai/mst/techsummitactionplan08.htm
The New York State State Education Department and the New York State Technology Education Association are jointly sponsoring a two day Technology Education Summit on April 30 - May 1, 2008. The purpose of the Summit is to share ideas and to develop recommendations that will foster increased student achievement in Technology Education as defined by the NYS Learning Standards. As with each summit, the intent is to conclude with a set of recommended action steps that can be mutually supported in the months ahead. The discussions will center on curriculum and instruction, assessments, and professional development. These workgroup topics have been part of the successful formula for the curriculum teams past summits: Science 2002/2003; Mathematics 2003; English Language Arts 2004; Social Studies 2005.
