Intermediate Level Technology Assessment

The New York State Education Department is researching the feasibility of providing statewide assessments via the Internet.

In January and May 2000, approximately 700 technology education students and their teachers provided valuable feedback regarding district capabilities by taking an online assessment utilizing sample questions developed for the Intermediate Technology 8 Assessment.

The sample practice set of questions are available for you to view at the bottom of this page.

We are continuing to gather information about this alternative testing delivery system and welcome your comments.

This is a practice test to find out how easy or hard it is to take a test on the computer.
To play the movie question you will need to download the QuickTime Viewer at: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
When you are ready to start taking the test move your cursor to Start Test and click.
If you are using a Windows PC: at the top of each question is a row of buttons representing each of the 22 questions on the test. When you want to view a question click on the button for that question.
If you are using Macintosh with Netscape: you must scroll to move from question to question.
You may answer the questions in any order.
