Physical Setting/Earth Science Regents Examination
Part D – NEW Lab-Practical Performance Component
The new lab-practical performance component (Part D) for the Physical Setting/Earth Science Regents examination is currently in the research and development stage and is not available for release by the Department at this time. The Department will continue to provide the current lab-practical test form as a component of the Physical Setting/Earth Science Regents examination in accordance with the memo released in October 2003 by the New York State Education Department. · Living Environment Regents Examination
The four required laboratory activities for the Living Environment Regents examination during the 2004-2005 school year are:
· Laboratory Activity #1—Relationships and Biodiversity
· Laboratory Activity #2—Making Connections
· Laboratory Activity #3—The Beaks of Finches
· Laboratory Activity #5—Diffusion Through a Membrane
At this time these are the only required laboratory activities for Living Environment. Laboratory Activity #4 is still under development and has not been released. A memo pertaining to this matter may be found at:
