The Board of Regents met on March 19-20, 2007. Major actions and discussions by the Board relating to elementary, middle, secondary and continuing education are noted below. Action · Approval of the Interim State Plan under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006. · Approval of the revisions to the charters of the COMMUNITY Charter School, Harlem Success Academy Charter School, and Harlem Village Charter School. · Approval to return the proposed revision to the charter of the Girls Preparatory Charter School to the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York for reconsideration. · Approval of the renewal charters for the Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School, Community Partnership Charter School, and Harbor Science and Arts Charter School.
