Scoring the Editing Paragraph for Grades 3, 5, and 7

These scoring materials are to be used along with the Grades 3-8 Testing Program DVD entitled Scoring the Editing Paragraph for Grades 3, 5, and 7. One purpose of the DVD is to provide further instruction using general materials not related to a particular year’s test. A second purpose is to ensure inter-rater reliability in the scoring of this section of the English Language Arts tests. Even further, to provide copies of the Editing Paragraph Scoring Clarifications with examples of student work that exemplify the guidance being given, and to give instructional tips to teachers that administer the Editing Paragraphs. These materials as well as the DVD may be reproduced if needed for instructional purposes.
