Subject:        Grades 7 and 8 Mathematics Tests

 

On March 14, 2006, the Department announced that multiple-choice questions 4, 11,
and 15 on the Grade 7 Mathematics Test and multiple-choice question 17 on the Grade 8 Mathematics Test appeared on the Grades 3-8 Mathematics Sample Tests.

After researching this issue, we have determined that these items will not count in the scoring of these tests. Please be assured that this action will in no way disadvantage students or school districts. This action will not impact the validity of either the Grade 7 or the Grade 8 Mathematics Test.
