Five-Year Field-Test Schedule for

New York State Elementary and Intermediate School Level Tests

Note: This test schedule accommodates field-test needs for all New York State elementary and intermediate school level tests, except for NAEP and NYSESLAT. Additional field test samples are needed for these two tests.   The strand assignments for all schools will remain unchanged for the duration of five years. The field test assignments will rotate from year to year.

How to Use the Matrix:

1)    Find the strand number for your school from 2005-06 Elementary and Intermediate School Level Field Test Strand List on the OSA website at http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/3-8/fieldtest.htm.

2)    Locate your strand in the above Matrix for 2005-06 school year and the corresponding field test assignment(s) for your strand in the first column.

For example, a Strand 2 elementary school (ES2) is scheduled to field test Grade 3 ELA in 2005-06 school year. In 2006-07 school year, the same school will be field-testing Grade 4 Science.
