Update on Grades 3-8 Mathematics Field Testing
 

Field testing for the Grades 3-8 Mathematics Tests will be conducted from March 20 through March 24, 2006. If your school was designated for field testing in March 2006 and you have confirmed your participation, you will soon be receiving field test materials. This memo provides information your school will need to schedule the appropriate blocks of time for students to complete the field tests. Depending on the grade being tested, the time needed for field testing may be longer than in previous years.

Schools administering field tests will receive either a Book A or Book B.  Both Book A and Book B have two parts.  Each part of each book must be administered on a separate day.

Schools will not know which Book they are to administer until they receive the field test materials.  Please note that the tests are administered over a two-day period.

The chart below contains information regarding the amount of time needed to administer the field tests.
