2006-2007 Elementary and Intermediate Level
Field Test Information

This page provides the latest information for the 2006-2007 field tests in New York State elementary and intermediate schools, including two lists of schools (in alphabetical order by school name) with their respective field test strand and their required field test assignment, and the five-year field test schedule.  The first list includes all public and charter schools that have enrollments in Grades 3 - 8.  The second list includes all non-public schools that have enrollments in Grades 3 - 8. School principals will be receiving additional information on their building field test assignments and responsibilities. Letters pertaining to English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics field-testing were mailed in October 2006. ELA field tests are to be administered in January and mathematics field tests are to be administered in March.  A complete testing schedule for Grades 3 - 8 is available at http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/osa/sched.html.

According to the Five-Year Field-Test Schedule for New York State Elementary and Intermediate School Level Tests Matrix, the assignments to field test strands for all schools will remain unchanged for the duration of five years (2005-2009).  However, the field test assignments change from year to year as indicated in the Matrix.

NOTE: This online enrollment process is only applicable to Grades 3-8 ELA and Mathematics. Schools that have field test assignments in Grade 4 Science, Grade 5 Social Studies, Grade 8 Science or Grade 8 Social Studies will be directly notified by mail by The New York State Education Department in the spring.
